Goals for Booked as a whole class novel:
– experience a novel in verse
– enjoy the story
– notice various forms of poetry used & mimic a few styles
– see all of the literary devices in action
– study the use of symbolism

Expectations:
– start the book together and read about 1/2 of it aloud in class
– make annotations together in class (not at home)
– eventually be able to add annotations independently (in class, not at home)
